Are you looking for a new way to exercise your pup? Looking for something that will challenge you and your pup? Canine Disc or Dog Frisbee classes may just be what you’re looking for.

Canine disc freestyle consists of throwing a Frisbee to your dog while incorporating various tricks and throws into a choreographed routine. Toss and fetch is a game that you throw one disc to your dog to get the most catches in an allotted time.

Train Your Pup is happy to now offer a series of three 6-week courses to fine-tune your backyard game or make you a contender at the local competition. Our multi-time world qualifiers and nationwide performers will break down the processes in easy to understand steps.

Course 1 – Foundation Toss and Fetch

Prerequisites: basic obedience, off leash skills, and basic toy drive dragons.

This course covers:

  • Building toy drive
  • Focus
  • Beginner throwing techniques
  • Proper discs
  • Disc tracking

Course 2 – Intro to Freestyle

Prerequisites: basic obedience, off leash skills, advanced toy drive and basic toss and fetch skills.

This course covers:

  • Multi-directional Frisbee work.
  • Incorporating simple tricks into a choreographed routine
  • Handler foot work
  • Various releases
  • Chaining techniques

Course 3 - Freestyle

Prerequisites: basic obedience, off leash skills, advanced toy drive and focus during distraction intro to freestyle.

This course covers:

  • Creating sequences and flow
  • Perfecting transitions
  • Advanced skills vaults/flips
  • Coordinating a 2-minute routine

To ensure each dog and handler get the best out of each class we ask you to contact us to determine which class is best, as well as ensure that our training philosophies are compatible. After you have spoken to one of our trainers then we will send you a link to sign up for class. Class sign up is done securely through square.


Class size is limited to 6 and classes often fill a minimum of 2 weeks before the start date. If you have any issues with your dog or would like to discuss expectations, please do not hesitate to contact us.
